For fragmenting hard and semi-hard stony corals. Easily gets into hard-to-reach areas for cutting large and thick corals. Precision ground jaws cut corals with little or no effort. Designed for cutting between densely growing corals.
Care Tip: Always rinse well in fresh water and dry thoroughly after each use. Leaving steel cutters wet with saltwater will cause the saltwater to eventually eat through the steel, this includes rust resistant stainless steel.
Although these are sharp cutters, there is no mechanism for the cutters to open or close. Meaning you have to use two hands to open them before and after making an actual cut (like scissors without holes for your fingers). However, for only $1.99 they are a great investment, especially if you're on a budget! They easily cut soft corals. Make sure to dry them well after each use, to help them last and to prevent rust build-up. I keep my oiled with clear non-toxic lubricating oil...
