Shipping Fees

• *Shipping fees below apply to delivery in the U.S. 48 continental states only.
• We base our shipping fees on the merchandise dollar value of your order.
• Our fees apply to UPS Ground Delivery in the Continental United States.
• Online orders received after 6 PM EST will usually be processed the next business day. Transit times will normally take anywhere from 2-7 business days depending on your location in the 48 contiguous United States. Backordered, drop shipped, custom-made and/or special ordered merchandise may take slightly longer to ship out.
• We do also offer Fed Ex expedited shipping at a nominal charge. This service ensures that your packages arrive much quicker than regular UPS ground service. As we are located on the West Coast in Southern California, packages shipped via UPS ground will normally take about 2-5 business days depending on your location. If you live on the East Coast transit times are normally around 5-7 business days. Unfortunately UPS does not deliver on weekends.
• UPS Ground does not deliver on weekends and holidays. UPS does not ship to PO Boxes or Military APO/FPO addresses. Please provide us with a valid home or business address.
• Heavy Shipping Fees apply to some heavier items including some aquariums, chillers, and substrates. These prices will be included with the cost along with the regular shipping fee.
• International Orders - Minimum Purchase Amount $100.00. Requires the use of PayPal for payment. To get the best price on your international shipping fees, we recommend signing up and using a service like HopShopGo.com.

Special Shipping Promotions

These promotions will apply only to orders shipped within the lower 48 states continental U.S. This does not include Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. These areas will have an extended shipping fee. Items marked or deemed as a *Heavy Item* will have an additional shipping fee added to their price, these fees are not covered within these promotions.

Order Processing Time

If your item (or items) is in stock, we or the manufacturer will ship your products within 24 to 48 hours of receiving your order. Your delivery will take place between 2-7 business days depending on the delivery location.

Heavy Items. Free Shipping Exclusions

Heavy items do not fall into our regular shipping fee schedule; additional shipping charges will apply. Shipping charges for heavy weight items will be calculated at time of check out. To receive FREE SHIPPING, you must order $125 dollars minimum of product. Free shipping exclusions may include: Large Chillers, Large Aquariums, Large Sumps, Live Rock, and Live Corals. Trigger sumps include a $19.99 shipping fee.

Out of Stock Items

Although we stock a high level of inventory, we do run out of stock on products from time to time. Sometimes an item is in high demand; sometimes the manufacturer is simply delayed in shipping the product.

We will not hold your order due to an out of stock item.

If an item over $10.00 is out of stock...we will fulfill the rest of your order. The out-of-stock item will be placed on backorder to be shipped at a later date. For an estimated delivery date for the back-ordered item, please inquire.

If an item under $10.00 is out of stock...it will be cancelled from your order. This will be indicated on the packing slip that is included with your delivery, and we'll adjust your shipping charges to account for the cancelled item. If you are still interested in the item or product, please include it in the next order you place with us.

Failed Delivery Attempt

Always double-check your shipping address and information entered in the form fields of the check-out page for accuracy, before finalizing an order. If the package cannot be delivered as scheduled, a re-delivery attempt will be made. If the re-delivery fails again, and the package is returned to OCReef Aquatics, you will be responsible for an additional shipping fee, to re-ship your order.
