Metal Halide Aquarium Lighting, & Metal Halide Bulbs

Metal Halide systems are great for corals that require intense lighting. SPS corals, clams, and anemones tend to have a higher survival rate in a system with metal halide bulbs. Many hobbyists will supplement metal halide lights with actinic T5, VHO or Power Compact lights to simulate a dusk/dawn effect and to add a more natural blue coloration to the tank.
