Reef's Made from New York Subway Cars
Between 2002 and 2003, a total of 1,269 of New York's retired subway cars were reefed (ocean submerged) in five states, including: New Jersey, Delaware, Virginia, South Carolina, and Georgia. These subway cars are now home to many species of Marine Life.
U.S. Presidents
President's James Garfield, Richard Nixon, and Ronald Reagan all had pet fish during their adminstration. President Ronald Reagan had the presidential seal put on his aquarium. We at OCReef believe this would be officially giving his fish the honorable title of the "First Fish" : )

History
In the Roman Empire, the first fish to be brought indoors was the sea barbel, which was kept under residents beds in small tanks made of marble. Introduction of glass panes around the year 50 allowed Romans to replace one wall of the marble tanks, improving their view of the fish.
