CoolWorks Microchiller

The Microchiller uses the technology of the Ice Probe and the convenience of a hang on power filter to create an efficient product. Simple to set up and operate - just hang it on and plug it in. The power filter runs about 150gph. Aproximate dimensions: 4"x8"x10".

Detailed Description:

The Cool Works Micro Chiller provides a cooling solution for nano-reef aquariums and other small fish tanks that require cooler temperatures. The new MicroChiller not only solves the cooling problems inherent in nano-reef applications, but it also increases the flow of water in the tank, which is necessary for the healthy growth of corals.

The MicroChiller uses solid-state heat pump technology also known as the Peltier effect, therefore there is no messy freon leaks or compressors that make irritating noises; this sets it apart from conventional chillers. Because the MicroChiller has so few moving parts, when used properly, it will provide trouble-free operation for years to come. This compact chiller can chill and bring down the temperature in a 10 gallon aquarium 4-6° degrees.

Recommendation: Use in conjunction with the Porportional Thermoelectic Controller (sold seperately).
